Velvet Crush

Like the title implies, I have been on a major velvet kick recently. The thing about velvet is it has a way of looking fancier (ie. shiny) than I really want for everyday. The slip dresses and skirts it's generally sold in are too much for me. So I've been very attracted to pieces like this because they pair so well with casual, everyday looks. It goes with anything from these burgundy boots to a pair of sneakers to create a comfortable but stylish look that's really easy to wear.
